At last, the cabinets are in and I am just demented with joy. Good thing that I am back home after a couple of errands so I can't bug too many people except here.
As I write, the House of Stainless folks are downstairs making their template for the countertop.
It hadn't occurred to me before now, but I can put all my stuff away as soon as they are done (or at least begin the job) as no one will need to get into my cabinets, except under the sink and under the cooktop. The cooktop will be in temp position so I don't have to see the big hole. The oven will be put in on Wednesday.
Sadly, the refrigerator won't go in until the tile floor is in...it looks too big for the spot, but I am not worrying about that right now. I am a terrible estimater.
The tile is the sad part of the tale...somehow, in someway, the Seneca tile people neglected to ship the tile...It should have arrived mid-August at the latest, and after finally doing more checking, delayed by the holiday, it turns out it hadn't even been shipped. It was shipped yesterday finally, and hopefully will arrive in Santa Rosa next week, late in the week I am guessing.
I haven't been able to let Lou the tile man know as I can't contact him right now...hummmm, that is a bit worrying I suppose, but since I have given up worrying, I won't.
There are more install photos on the flickr site.
