Not a Match?

First off this morning, Stuart put up the trim which he had measured and tested exactly...then primed and painted...two coats...same paint as the walls. Well, this morning when he put them up, he called me to come look, and as you can see, it was not a match with the CALM BEIGE Walls...damn it. But try as we could, there was no explanation...so he painted them again in place, and we go on.
But that was only the beginning of a stressful day.
We discovered that the hot water heater that I thought I had cut the power to, really wasn't off, and on further inspection of the panel showed a confusing proliferation of double items labeled. And to top it all off, I had no water at all to the house, the studio or the yard.
That send me on a phone tirade which resulted in the electrician arriving, and realizing that every entry on the new box was one off...
Finally we got that all fixed and new labels put on each switch...there was still one casualty which Stuart and I fixed quickly. But god, oh so stressful.
Then there was the attempt to find a plumber...finally I have an appointment for Wednesday afternoon. My God! But I at least have water, Stuart got most stuff done, and the paint is starting to blend in, and I am as tired as I have been in a long time. Prepared to heat water on the stove and washing my hair in the sink tomorrow am, and then having the famous ole sponge bath...but at least I have cold water to do all that.
And now if you want to know about the fencing...I am so lazy...no photos, but the work proceeds apace and maybe one gate will go up tomorrow.
Exhausted and looking forward to the warm weather forecast.
